Summer Camp for Youth from "Belt and Road" Countries

 

Description of the Camp:

 

Two Costa Ricans will have the opportunity to participate, along with 500 youths from "Belt and Road" countries, in a fully-funded camp. The group will be divided into 10 subgroups for visits, classes, and activities in Beijing and another city over a period of 2 weeks.

 

Organizer: Center for International Cooperation in Language Education, Ministry of Education of China.

 

Camp Duration: August 12-25

 

Application Deadline: May 26

 

Camp Program:

 

- August 12: Enrollment in Beijing

- August 14: Camp opening ceremony

- August 15-24: Visits, classes, and activities in Beijing and another city

- August 25: Departure from China

 

Camp Scholarship:

 

The Center covers all camp activities' costs, including accommodation, meals, transportation, and reimburses 50% of the participants' international travel expenses. Participants are responsible for visa and insurance costs.

 

Participant Requirements:

 

- Costa Rican nationality, with Chinese not being their native language

- Active student status

- Ages 18-30

- Valid HSK 4 certification or higher

- Interest in Chinese culture

- Good health for travel
