Costa Rica Ni Hao! is a registered trademark of the Confucius Institute of the University of Costa Rica with the objective of spreading and promoting both Chinese culture and language.
We started in 2014 with a program on Radio U 101.9 FM, where weekly we shared various sections of cooking, history, culture and music. We were the first radio program in all of Latin America dedicated to Chinese culture and Mandarin.
Under the guidance of our first director, Carolina Arias, we had the format of a cultural radio magazine for almost two years, during which we were even present at international congresses to promote this pioneering work. From 2016 we bet on social networks to bring our content to more people.
Currently, Costa Rica Ni Hao! is in charge of Kattia Barrientos together with Professor Chen Huangchao (Checkie); with the technical support of Silvia Mora and Rodrigo Martinez, we are all part of the administrative team of the Confucius Institute.
We are now on the air live and weekly on Radio Universidad de Costa Rica 96.7 FM, in the program Noticias Universidad, a daily segment dedicated to transmit university activities and actions. Here you can also see us on Radio Universidad's official Facebook live.
